Kompass 1.0 [free]

This app uses the in nearly every phone available magnetic sensor to show the direction. The used compass rose can be selected from a list or you can provide your own picture (nearly a square, north is up). If you take the device vertical a scale is used to show the direction and the camera of the device is used to show the view below the scale to determine the bearing.
